Do I need to give meter readings?

 

Yes, we can only bill you accurately for your energy use if you submit meter readings. If we don’t have meter readings, we have to estimate your bills.

 

How often should I submit a meter reading?

 

We recommend submitting meter readings at least monthly. However, the more frequently you submit a meter reading, the better, as we will be able to provide you with more accurate bills. You can submit a meter reading every day via your online account.

 

What happens if I don’t submit a meter reading?

 

If you don’t submit a meter reading, your bill will be based on an estimate and will not accurately reflect your energy use. Submitting meter readings regularly helps you avoid overpaying or any unexpected bills at the end of your plan.

 

How we estimate your energy usage

 

If you don’t submit meter readings, your energy usage will be estimated based on:

 

- Your meter reading history

- Time of year, i.e. we’ll assume you use more energy in the winter

- Recorded weather for the period

- Industry data

 

How to submit a meter reading

 

To submit a meter reading:

 

1. Log in to your online account

2. Select Your Electricity Readings or Your Gas Readings

3. Select the meter reading date and click Next

4. Enter your meter readings and click Submit Meter Reading

 

How to view your meter reading history

 

To view previously submitted meter readings:

 

1. Log in to your online account

2. Select Your Electricity Readings or Your Gas Readings

3. Click on Meter Readings History

 

Priority Services Register (PSR)
