Gas or Electricity Emergency

What to do in the event of an emergency:


If you think you can smell gas please call the National Gas Emergency Number:

    0800 111 999

Also call this number if you:

  • Think a gas appliance is giving off carbon monoxide
  • Wish to report a fire or explosion related to a gas supply


If you have a problem with your electricity supply, such as:

  • a power cut
  • a dangerous situation relating to your electricity supply

You will need to contact your local network operator (who are responsible for the cables and wires to your property).
